Impact Africa, the Syspro division of EOH, one of South Africa`s leading consulting, technology and outsourcing companies listed on the JSE, has launched a national call centre in a move to consolidate its current call centres as well as provide a wider range of skills nationwide.
Impact Africa Director Keith Farley says: "Impact Africa is growing and we believe it makes business, as well as operational sense, to launch a national call centre able to offer consistent levels of service to our clients, as well as meet the diverse needs of our growing client base."
Michele Campbell, who heads up the national call centre, says the company makes use of Telkom`s OptiCon system. Ideal for Impact Africa, it features the latest voice and data convergence technology and has an impressive modular design. Campbell says it offers Impact Africa a very competitive, traditional digital PBX with the ability to expand into IP convergence technology.
The OptiCon system features a visible wallboard in the call centre showing number of calls in the queue, average call time and average ring time. In addition, Campbell says there are hunting groups for each functional area. "The system gives valuable reporting statistics such as total calls for the month, average answer and call time, and total unanswered calls. This helps us to monitor where extra resources are required during peak periods."
All calls are logged into a call-logging database where they are tracked and monitored until they have been resolved. The Impact Africa team is able to provide clients with detailed reports of all calls logged, including details of the resolution and time taken to resolve. Historical analysis is also available. Campbell says further expansion and upgrades within the call centre are planned, including the implementation of a Web-based version where clients will have the ability to log, update and view the status of their own calls via the Internet.
The call centre is dedicated to provide Syspro support nationally and can be contacted on 0861 EOH 001.
