Johannesburg, 02 Oct 2000

Epicor Corporation, the largest provider of integrated enterprise and eBusiness software exclusively for midmarket companies, today announced the availability of Epicor eCommerce StoreFront 3.2. With this release, Epicor rolls out critical international eBusiness features such as improved VAT and pricing capabilities, enhanced architecture and a framework to accommodate multiple languages.

Epicor`s international eCommerce StoreFront enables multinational companies to sell products over the Web, giving consumers and trading partners a convenient, secure location for making purchases. In addition to enhancements like multi-country credit card processing, this release has been re-architected to boost performance and scalability. By leveraging cutting edge technology like XML, Epicor eCommerce StoreFront 3.2 provides tighter integration to Epicor`s back office systems, thus delivering on Epicor`s common component .

In order to deliver consistent levels of service across different channels of interaction, more and more companies in the U.S. and abroad need to merge eBusiness initiatives with traditional operations. Many companies are finding this a daunting task, however, due to the challenge of integrating offerings from separate vendors. Epicor eCommerce StoreFront, through its integration with Epicor`s enterprise applications, delivers a virtually seamless shopping experience to Web customers anywhere, offering shopping carts, item catalogs, order entry, status and confirmation information.

"As more international consumers access the Internet, global companies need integrated Web-based applications to manage these relationships," said Mollie Hunter, Epicor vice president of product marketing. "This release is an important step forward for our global customers, as it gives them the ability to participate in eCommerce."
