Epicor Software Corp, the largest provider of integrated enterprise and eBusiness software exclusively for midmarket companies, has been named one of Orange County/San Diego`s 50 fastest growing firms by Deloitte & Touche.
Epicor`s ranking was based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1995-1999, and reflects the company`s leadership in providing innovative midmarket software solutions. In winning this award, Epicor continues the momentum of recent award wins including the CRMPower Award for Epicor eFrontOffice, powered by Clientele, and the top ranking from Accounting Software News and K2 Enterprises for its back office solutions.
"Today, there is extreme competition among high technology companies in the United States," said Fred Poska, partner in charge, Orange County High Technology Group for Deloitte & Touche. "The winners of the Fast 50 have consistently proven that they have the right technology to succeed and we commend Epicor on its vision and determination."
To qualify for the Orange County/San Diego Technology Fast 50, companies must be in business for a minimum of five years; must not be a subsidiary or division, unless separately traded and having some public ownership; must have 1995 revenues of at least $50,000 and 1999 revenues of $1,000,000 or more; must be considered a technology company which is defined as developing proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company`s operating revenues, manufacturing a technology-related product, or devoting a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology; and must be headquartered in Orange or San Diego counties. Winners of the 19 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation`s top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
"Epicor`s selection to the Fast 50 is not only a great honor, but also demonstrates the company`s continued leadership in providing solutions for the midmarket," said Rick Roll, president and chief operating officer for Epicor. "Midmarket companies continue to standardize on Epicor for integrated front office, back office and eBusiness solutions that help them control costs, better manage resources and better serve their customers."
