EPSON has announced the launch of the EMP-S1 projector that combines a balance of price, design, specifications and functions, with ease-of-use. Targeted at the SOHO/SME, education and home users, these features will make it stand out in the portable projector market.
Often high quality design, reliability and functionality can come at a premium price. As the global market leader in liquid crystal display projectors, EPSON`s vision of providing an affordable solution to users is now achieved with the EMP-S1. Projectors no longer need to be an expensive presentation tool. The EMP-S1 has all the features needed for a quiet, high quality presentation. Furthermore it looks good too, featuring a new stylish silver casing.
The new EMP-S1 is bright enough for the classroom, group discussion, or customer meetings with a brightness of 1 200 ANSI Lumens and an SVGA resolution. With a weight of only 3.2kg, it is ideal to carry from one classroom or meeting room to another, or to take on the road. Portability isn`t solely related to the weight of a projector, therefore EPSON has designed the EMP-S1 with a slide-in and slide-out carrying handle, and a slot in/out remote control. The EMP-S1 also comes with a durable soft carrying case.
Not only will the EMP-S1 look the part, one of its most powerful features is its speedy set-up/shut down function. This means that the projector can be set-up quickly and the projection image will be clear within five seconds after pressing the power button. The EMP-S1 includes features that help the user set up in the fastest possible time - like Keystone Correction (Vertical +/- 15 degrees), Short Throw Distance Lens (1.8m for 60-inch screen image), Monitor-Out, and Built-in speaker. After shutting down the projector`s cooling off is over within 20 seconds. While presenting there is a Smart presentation remote controller included with the EMP-S1, so key functions such as page up/down and the mouse function in a PC can be controlled remotely. The remote controller will also access the Five Selectable Picture modes, so the user can chose the best picture mode based on the room circumstances and application, these are: Dynamic, Presentation, Theatre, Living room and SRGB.
EPSON`s attention to style is also extended to the ease-of-use of the EMP-S1, with simple menu pictures designed for the first time user. The large buttons on the control panel are easy-to-touch and help prevent the incorrect button being pressed.
