Epson, ACT unveil reseller benefits

There are opportunities for resellers but they must be proactively involved with programmes and initiatives to gain the maximum business benefits.

This message was given to an audience of clients and reseller partners who recently attended a presentation in Midrand to hear what Epson, together with its consumables distributor partner Advanced Consumables Technologies (ACT), had to say about the market.

To complement this presentation, Epson invited Justin Cohen to point out seven habits of highly effective scorers - a seven-point plan to sales super stardom. The entertaining discussion added depth to the overall theme.

According to Hans Dummer, General Manager of Epson SA, there are a substantial number of business opportunities and benefits to participating in the company`s Team Epson Reseller Programme and just as many ways of doing this. Aside from the levels of partner status and rebate options open for clients, Epson has also identified key growth areas within the market and have structured its offering accordingly.

For example, the company has tailored its printer offering to hone in on the business advantages of colour and speed, and has developed its latest inkjet printer at 5760 DPI resolution. In addition, Epson has been positioned for resellers to leverage off the opportunities that exist around multi-functional products, including Bluetooth technology.

Drummer also emphasised the role consumables play in this space, and reiterated the company`s strong relationship with its distribution partner ACT.

As an Epson distributor, we are confident that our clients will be about to leverage off its reseller programme and we are in a position to help drive that process," says Anton Herbst, MD of ACT.
