EPSON, in conjunction with MTC Repairs, have launched the EPSON Express Photo Shop at the University of Witwatersrand`s (Wits) new student centre, The Matrix.
The new outlet offers a full range of services to both the students and EPSON corporate clients throughout the university, including over-the-counter sales of EPSON products and consumables, and on-site repairs to the full range of EPSON products - irrespective of where that product was bought.
The first of its kind in SA, the outlet is an extension of the highly successful EPSON Express Centre concept that has already over 50 centres throughout SA. The store brings technical support into the university, providing staff and students with access to free, face-to-face problem assessment and advice from EPSON-trained professionals.
Technicians from the EPSON Express Shop are available to repair any EPSON product in the office or classroom on Wits campus. The aim is to fix a wide range of printers within 30 minutes, and if this is not possible, a replacement will be provided immediately under the EPSON warranty. As a result, when users return to their offices, classrooms, residences or digs they can immediately begin printing again. Any out-of-warranty products can also be repaired for a fixed fee.
EPSON understands the price sensitivity of the educational sector and it is for this reason that preferential pricing and specials on EPSON consumables and products will be available through the university outlet. Opening specials include refurbished EPSON printers from only R150 and a brand new EPSON Stylus C62 Colour printers for as little as R799. Preferential pricing also applies to the entire range of EPSON consumables.
Some of the more specialised services the EPSON Express Photo Shop offers include digital photo printing, poster printing, enlargements, colour copying, direct CD printing, personalised card printing and T-shirt prints. To add extra value, the shop also offers an Internet service.
This initiative follows on from MTC Repairs` recent move to its new larger and improved premises in Modderfontein that took place during June. Clive Anderson, Managing Director of MTC Repairs, says: "Our new premises combined with our new retail outlet at Wits University enables us to offer our corporate clients, and the staff and students of Wits University a superior level of service and an extensive product range."
