Epson rolls out HD 3D projectors

Akihabara News.

The new Pro Cinema 6010 and 5010 are Full HD 3D, with 2 400 lumens, 200 000:1 contrast ratio and both include a conversion system from 2D to 3D on the fly. The difference between the 6010 and 5010 are the included accessories like the ceiling mounts, 3D glasses and lens modes. There is also a version called 5010e that will feature HD.

According to Azo Optics.com, these projectors provide good quality and efficiency with Epson's FineFrame technology and Super Resolution technology for fine 2D mode video quality and fine frame interpolation, cinema filter characteristics for better color reliability and increased color space, and a Fujinon OptiCinema lens of 2.1 zoom ratios.

To improve the 3D effect, they incorporate 2D to 3D conversion.

Stated to be ideal for users who prefer an alternative to professional-level ones that require installation, the device sports two built-in 10W speakers for an added cinema effect, writes Tech Shout.

The Epson 2D and 3D range of full HD 1080p home theater projectors will be available through authorized dealers starting this November.
