ERP.com has acquired Exsol, a supplier of knowledge management solutions, from SMC Electronic Commerce, a subsidiary of EC Holdings, for R1.
Exsol will in future trade as Solutions for Business Intelligence as a wholly owned subsidiary and will be headed up by Cobus Van Niekerk, ERP.com`s senior executive in charge of its technology arm.
"We`ve been wanting to play in this space for a long time and have been looking for a company to acquire in order to do so. Exsol was exactly what we were looking for and its product line fits in nicely with our current offering," says Van Niekerk.
"Exsol had a large client base of 32 medium to large customers and our main goal this year will be to secure and cement those relationships. We see this as a long-term objective and don`t see a significant growth in revenue this year, but will aim for growth in 2005."
Exsol offers document management, record management, document imaging, forms processing and workflow. It also provides a range of services, including strategy formulation, solution design and project management.
