ERP.com expands into Africa

By Global Research Partners
Johannesburg, 26 Aug 2003

ERP.com today announced that it has appointed Tony Nutter to head its strategic expansion into the rest of Africa. Tony Nutter brings to ERP.com extensive experience, both locally and within the African continent, in providing solutions to corporate and government institutions.

ERP.com will operate through a channel network of local partners throughout Africa and has already established partners in countries such as Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria and Uganda.

"ERP.com can already provide two broad ranges of technology solutions," commented Nutter. "The first is in the area of information security, where products addressing such areas as anti-virus, content security, firewalls and network asset management are well suited to a channel partner model, since they can be rapidly deployed. In this regard, we are already seeing a steady stream of business.

"The second area is in the provision of enterprise application and professional services solutions, which require a more strategic focus and business partner," continued Nutter. "We are tendering for some large projects in Africa with local partners and although these take longer to materialise, we are very excited by the IT spend emerging out of Africa. We are also partnering with other local and international companies to extend the breadth of solutions that we are able to offer.

"Africa is a large and lucrative market, but one that requires a good understanding of how business is done in Africa," concluded Peter Forsyth, CEO of ERP.com Holdings. "I`m sure that Tony, with his experience in Africa and the relationships he has established with African partners, will help us win and successfully deliver solutions into this region."
