LG Electronics (LGE) SA has appointed ERS Electronic Repair Services for national support on its range of monitors.
Derek Hunter National Customer Care Manager, LGE SA, explains, "ERS was awarded the contract on the basis of the company`s reputation for excellent repairs and service. ERS also has branches in all major centres, allowing users throughout South Africa to benefit from faster turnaround times on repairs with less handling."
"Now that LGE SA is offering a three-year carry-in warranty as of January 2001 on each monitor, we are expecting a substantial increase in the quality of after-sales service. The client merely has to take the equipment to the nearest ERS branch to have the repair carried out", says Hunter.
Adrian De Oliveira, Executive Director at ERS explains that apart from the company`s nation-wide infrastructure, it also offers its depth of expertise to LG customers. "ERS is one of the leading monitor repair service partners in South Africa, having concluded service agreements with the five foremost monitor producers in the country. In addition to monitors, we also repair a wide range of other hi-tech electronic equipment, including process devices such as Notebooks, Servers, PC`s and Peripheral`s."
Hunter maintains that the quick turn-around time of repairs will also be a boon to LG monitor users as "Repairs are generally completed within three days", he explains.
Furthermore, according to De Oliveira, ERS is the only service partner to offer an Internet based online job tracking system via its Web site, www.e-rs.co.za. "When a client books in a repair job, they are given a secure Web key to log into our system, which means that customers can track the progress of a repair at any point during the day."
