Extending the local reach of its distribution, eSafe Technologies SA has appointed MacManus InfoTech as its national partner based in Cape Town.
"Being extensively involved in Internet technologies, MacManus focuses on intranet and extranet implementations. Including a virus protection package which provides anti-vandal features compliments any systems implementation and, for that matter, any whole systems provider," says Brett Myroff, CEO of eSafe Technologies SA.
MacManus will be concentrating on the eSafe Protect Enterprise and Gateway 2.0 products for network protection.
"With many corporations looking at an online strategy and moving certain aspects of their business onto the Internet, it is essential to include a virus protector. The eSafe anti-vandal system is one of the major reasons we incorporate the product as part of our solution," says Jacques Malan, IT manager of MacManus InfoTech.
Vandals first appeared in early 1997, but the recent awareness of the dangers they present has introduced greater levels of caution in larger systems with Internet link-ups where a higher risk factor needs to be taken into account.
"Companies moving to online business need to look at viruses and vandals," says Malan. "The eSafe anti-vandal system provides the needed protection against the harsher threats of the modern Internet world."
