Essential IT, which claims to be the only IT franchise company in Southern Africa, has been appointed as a Platinum Partner for JSE-listed Ixchange`s SaleAbility integrated management system.

Headquartered in Johannesburg, Essential IT operates a national IT services franchise designed to sell, install and maintain IT systems. It has seven regional offices, which the franchisee service centres in the regions.

"The attraction of Essential IT for Ixchange is that it offers us the opportunity to offer a full service and support programme to SaleAbility customers in outlying areas where it was not possible to operate in the past," says Ability director, Johan Buys. "Essential IT`s offices in other Southern African countries like Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mauritius also extend the reach of SaleAbility further into Africa."

"Essential IT is the first IT franchise operation in SA that offers a truly countrywide infrastructure, including smaller areas that most IT companies would not be able to profitably service," says Nicole Pugh, CEO of Essential IT.

"Being part of the Essential IT franchise will not only force IT companies to provide certain types of services, but will open the door to new business - such as SaleAbility - that smaller companies would not have been able to obtain in the past.

"Our franchisees will also benefit from the branding, product training, the opportunity to supply the leading POS solution in SA, and the referral trade from other franchisees," she adds.
