Payroll legislation is becoming increasingly complex, while at the same time SARS and the Department of Labour are improving their ability to monitor compliance, and if appropriate, raise penalties and interest. This makes it essential for payroll administrators across the country to understand the requirements the law places on their shoulders.

Sage VIP, regarded as an expert in the field of HR and payroll, will thus embark on a countrywide roadshow during June 2013 at various venues throughout South Africa, to provide guidance and support to payroll and tax practitioners and financial personnel.

The seminar will provide a good understanding of the fundamental requirements of the following four main Acts impacting on a payroll office: Basic Conditions of Employment, Income Tax, Skills Development and Unemployment Insurance.

The seminar will be presented by Rob Cooper, a payroll tax expert at Sage VIP and chairman of the Payroll Authors Group of South Africa. He is an industry spokesman on all legislation affecting payrolls.

Attendees will also take home a comprehensive, yet practical, manual for later reference.
