Global Technology Services has developed an interactive e-services Web site for black empowerment company ethoz Human Value Optimisation, a provider of innovative consulting services for employers, HR professionals and job seekers.
Ethoz is focused on helping its clients acquire, develop and retain their intellectual capital. Its clients include Rennies Travel, Fedsure, Ericsson, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Global Technology, the JSE-listed parent of Global Technology Services.
Using the ethoz e-services Web site, companies can significantly boost their chances of finding the right person for a post, says MD Grant Jacobs. "Our e-Services offering is all about empowering line managers to find the right people for an appropriate job," says Jacobs. "We developed the ethoz Human Value Optimisation business model after a critical assessment of the recruitment and HR consulting market. Human Value Optimisation is premised on the insight that the true value of a business lies in its intellectual capital: the knowledge, competence and potential of its employees."
Director Blair Mackenzie notes that the rigorous and scientific Ethoz methodology, when used to profile people according to the right dimensions, yields a hit-rate as high as 90%. "It boosts efficiency, productivity and consistency and drives down costs in the recruitment and selection process. The power and automation of e-business has allowed us to improve these efficiencies even further."
In Phase One of the Web site, as developed by Global Technology Services, clients can build complex, 360^0 profiles of any position in their organisations. Any registered user can access this section of the site at any time. "This is vital for companies with managers at different sites, or even - as has been the case with some of our clients - in different countries," notes Mackenzie.
In Phase Two, now under development, ethoz will take the competency bases and use them to perform training management and career management and development. Phase Three, targeted for completion by year-end, will feature an integrated and far-reaching performance optimisation service as a key deliverable.
