Etihad debuts all-women call centre
According to the Gulf News, the women-only contact centre with more than 80 Emiratis was opened by Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi, Etihad's board member and chairman of the executive committee. James Hogan, the airline's CEO, attended the opening ceremony.
The national carrier is looking to recruit more Emirati women for the contact centre, which has been designed to suit women by offering flexible working hours.
The National reports that some operations began a month ago at the centre, which seeks to provide much-needed job opportunities to women.
It receives 800 calls a day. Officials say it will boost Etihad's sales and take a load off the company's three other centres.
