A joint partnership agreement between Space Age Technologies (SAT) and Event IT, will see the companies enter the SMB operations management arena en masse. The alliance signals the growing necessity of adequate proactive support and operations management services within the small and medium business sector.
In terms of the partnership agreement, SAT will provide the proactive monitoring and operations management services (SATOps) for Event IT's varied client base, assisting Event IT to further leverage its expertise as IT support provider within the Western Cape.

SATOps' management services are divided in to two main partner-oriented categories; proactive monitoring and preventative management. These critical management tasks, which are designed to minimise user disturbances by monitoring key system parameters, include functions such as software management; anti-virus management; storage management; service monitoring and control; security management as well as system management.
"Event IT, like all our partners, will furthermore have access to our proven resources and knowledge base," said Geschke. "We are also very eager to include Event IT in our plans of future expansion and growth."
SATOps is designed to identify and resolve pending system irregularities to ensure the availability of services to its clients. "Through SATOps' proven proactive management function, our clients are able to pursue their business objectives and spend less time reporting problems to their service provider," concluded Geschke.
