Event registration: from hassle to helping hand

Potgieter runs IT Event Management, a company with five years' experience in the event industry and a thorough understanding of the longstanding challenges of event registration. Having experienced the obstacles first-hand, he decided to find a way for "event visitors to breeze right through registration and dive straight into an event".

"We're in the event industry ourselves," explains Potgieter, "so we're 100% familiar with real event environments. This is why we were well-placed to develop EventLogic and to put into it everything that we'd expect from cutting-edge registration software."

EventLogic makes it possible to find people quickly and easily; design and print customised name badges and vouchers; capture photographs for an extra level of sophistication and security; scan bar codes for a speedy, more streamlined overall approach; use automatic reporting to keep a finger on the pulse of the event; and most importantly, import or export relevant event data. It also works on a licensing basis.

Licences for using the EventLogic software are issued on a per event basis, which makes event budgeting clearer, more manageable and more flexible. Purchasing only one server licence - starting from R520 - allows event organisers to create, manage and handle registrations for one event on a single computer.

Should organisers need to add another registration terminal or computer to their event, they can purchase an additional client access licence and connect it to the main computer. It is also possible for EventLogic's teams to come in and handle everything on behalf of the organiser: laptops, equipment, software and staff.
