Former arivia.kom CEO Zeth Malele has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of Paracon Holdings.
In a JSE notice to shareholders today, the IT resourcing and business solutions provider says Malele's "extensive experience and knowledge will add value to the Paracon board".
Malele left arivia in 2006 and has held a number of senior positions in the ICT industry and serves on several public sector committees and task forces.
He was the recipient of the ICT Black Achievers Awards, in 1999 and 2000, and was a finalist for the Ernst & Young SA Best Entrepreneur Award in 2002.
He heads Malele Computer Systems, having started his career with IBM.
Meanwhile, Paracon says Sonja Sebotsa, who served as an independent non-executive director, has resigned. She previously represented WDB Investment Holdings' shareholding in Paracon, until she resigned from that company.
