Microsoft South Africa has appointed Ashley de Klerk as public sector director with immediate effect.
De Klerk`s responsibilities will include working with the public sector to develop sustainable IT infrastructures that deliver ease of use, value through innovative technology, as well as provide a clear roadmap for future development that will assist government to reach its technology goals.
"Microsoft has a proud history of working in partnership with the public sector in SA to achieve these goals. I intend to continue along this path to make meaningful and sustainable contributions to our young democracy using technology as an enabler, says De Klerk.
Gordon Frazer, Microsoft SA MD, says De Klerk`s appointment will contribute to ensuring greater levels of strategic service delivery and work towards realising government`s vision for technology in SA.
De Klerk, who was previously executive director at Software Futures, joins Microsoft with numerous years of experience in the technology industry.
