Global Publishing Partner, Phoenix Software, has launched eXPert PDF 2, software that allows any Windows document to be transformed into a universal PDF file and sent automatically and securely via e-mail.
eXPert PDF 2 offers users a host of new options in a far speedier package, with PDFs being created in mere seconds. Added to this are new safety features, that allow the document owner to protect files with watermarks, making it impossible for others to copy or use documents without the owner`s permission.
"Addressing document security, the upgraded version allows users to add document security features to their PDFs using between 48- and 128-bit encryption. It also allows others to modify, print and view documents only with the owner`s permission," says Robert Hall, country manager for Phoenix Software.
Users can also now convert from a Word document to a PDF without losing layout and hypertext links. Documents can be saved as images, with eXPert PDF 2 supporting all commonly used image formats as well as many vector and raster image formats.
"eXPert PDF 2 also offers a feature that allows the user to exclude or include true type fonts embedded in generated documents. This ensures that documents can be seen by other people exactly the way they were created. Generated documents embed the fonts needed to view the document in its original format," Hall says.
In addition, the software combines multiple documents and printer jobs, making it simple to create a single PDF document from several sources, including text, images and Web pages.
