Information management company Exsol, a division of the EC Hold group, has completed a distribution deal with San Francisco-based Correlate that adds Correlate`s universal management software to its solutions portfolio.
The deal gives Exsol`s clients, business partners and third parties access to Correlate software as an add-on component of Exsol`s information management services, or as a standalone product for custom use. It will also give Exsol a launch pad into Correlate`s extensive US market.
"Correlate represents a new level of software, one that sits above traditional databases and networks to manage information within and across enterprises," says Exsol technical director, Amir Lubashevsky. "By managing multiple application-independent objects - such as e-mail, graphic files, Web pages or contact lists, to name a few - Correlate enables companies to combine all aspects of their solutions electronically from a unified interface."
"This ties in perfectly with our strategy of finding the most comprehensive management solutions to complement our document and information management services," he continues. "As an option to our DIS clients, Correlate empowers them to use the output we produce on a project-by-project basis."
Correlate, available as a Windows client or server product, automatically defines views into logical solution "templates", based on their components rather than available applications.
"A financial proposal, for example, will have several template components, such as e-mail messages, e-mail contacts, proposal documents, presentation slides and audio recordings, spread across a corporate network," says Lubashevsky. "Correlate combines these components into a solution template that can be shared by the parties involved and accessed intuitively without fussing with applications."
Correlate is available as a free download for personal use from www.correlate.com. Exsol can be contacted at (011) 458 6400.
