Satisfying computer gaming experiences most often boil down to the graphics card - the faster the card, the better the experience. But, this experience has almost always had a hefty price attached to it.
"Luckily for avid gamers," says Philip Henning, graphics product manager, Axiz, "they don`t have to break the bank to get the speed they`re looking for."
Henning says the graphics industry has grown at such a rapid rate that vendors are releasing more and more competitive offerings with ever-impressive improvements in technology. He says one such vendor is XFX.
Winner of the Best NVIDIA Brand 2005 Award, XFX recently announced its new NVIDIA GeForce 7 Series of graphics processing units (GPUs), which provide the most realistic gaming experience currently available.
"In addition to its NVIDIA award, XFX was also the recipient of the HardWare.Info (HWI) award for `Best Videocard Brand 2005`," he adds.
Axiz`s distributorship of the XFX cards falls in line with the company`s strategy of providing world-class products that unite technology and intelligence, Henning says. "The graphics card market is an important and growing one and is a key focus area for Axiz," states Henning.
This growth is clearly illustrated by looking at revenues generated by companies like *NVIDIA, which increased its revenues in its GPU division alone by 22.6% to $1.7 billion in fiscal year 2006 over fiscal year 2005, while an increase of $1.4 billion was shown on 2004`s results.
NVIDIA`s major competitor - ATI - reported 40 million discrete desktop GPUs and 16 million discrete notebook GPUs shipped by the end of August 2005*, generating revenues of around $47 million and $18 million respectively.
Says Henning: "As part of Axiz`s commitment to this market segment, we will continue to develop relationships with leading international brands to ensure that our local customers have the widest possible choice of the world`s leading technology."
