Eyesizwe Coal, the fourth largest mining company in South Africa, has selected Radical, a locally developed product from Solutional, as the software system for their total IT Help Desk Solution.
Eyesizwe were looking for a cost-effective solution that could be customised for their specific operating environment. According to Dex Goodman, IT Controller at Eyesizwe, the main criteria that the chosen product had to meet were flexibility, reliability and backup support.
Goodman says: "Radical was selected from a number of possible solutions evaluated because of its cost-effectiveness and customisability, coupled with the strong emphasis that Solutional place on the support aspect of their business. The fact that Radical is a locally designed product also played a role in our decision."
"Radical is used at Eyesizwe as an IT Helpdesk to monitor and manage the support calls, but we have already identified other areas in the business where Radical could help to streamline processes due the ease of customisability of the product." Goodman adds.
