JSE-listed Y3K`s Information Security Division (Gas Software) the sole distributor for F-Secure Corporation (previously known as Data Fellows Finland) in Africa, today announced that F- Secure has been accredited with Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) certification by Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. This certification guarantees that F-Secure Anti-Virus for Firewalls will seamlessly integrate with Check Point`s VPN-1 and FireWall-1 providing customers with a best-of-breed security solution. In addition, certification allows F-Secure to be a part of a Secure Virtual Network (SVN), extending security across the Internet, Intranets and Extranets.

The company`s first product to achieve this internationally recognised certification, F-Secure Anti-Virus for Firewalls provides unsurpassed real-time virus scanning for inbound and outbound e-mail, web and file transfers at the perimeter of corporate networks.
