F-Secure teams with RSA Security to help secure virtual private networks through PKI

Y3K Security Products, the sole distributor for F-Secure Corporation (previously known as Data Fellows Finland) in Africa, today announced that F-Secure had joined the RSA Secured Strategic Partner Program to support interoperability between F-Secure VPN+ and RSA Keon public key infrastructure (PKI) software.

As part of the program, F-Secure VPN+ 5.0, a software-based virtual private network, has been awarded "RSA Keon Ready" certification signalling its compatibility with RSA Security`s digital certificate software. The RSA Secured certification lets organisations know that F-Secure VPN+ 5.0 is compatible with RSA Security`s market-leading security products and technologies.

F-Secure VPN+ 5.0 provides total end-to-end security by protecting every link in the corporate network chain including clients, servers, and gateways. Working with the F-Secure Policy Manager, VPN+ is centrally managed and policy based, meaning companies can automate enforcement of their security policies, transparently to users.

Interoperating with RSA Keon PKI software, F-Secure VPN+ version 5.0 offers full PKI support through automated certificate enrolment using the SCEP protocol, certificate revocation lists (CRL), and lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) for retrieving certificates and CRLs. F-Secure also offers support for all leading smartcards, smartcard readers, and smartcard profiles.
