Gmail gets down to business
Google has updated its Gmail service to make it more appealing to business users, states Computing.co.uk.
Many users employ Gmail as a hub to send messages as though they are from another account, such as Microsoft Outlook. But their Gmail username is shown in the 'sender' field of the message as well as the displayed 'from' address.
Google says instead of using Gmail servers to send the message, it will use the servers at the sender's other e-mail address to prevent the two addresses being shown.
MS, ComScore offer ad service
Microsoft will collaborate with consumer measurement firm ComScore to design a digital media-planning service dubbed the Reach and Frequency Planner (RF Planner), says CNET News.
The goal of the RF Planner will be to help brand advertisers better measure and track their online ad campaigns.
Advertisers would be able to more easily determine and predict how consumers will respond to their digital ads.
