IBM has recognised Faritec, the enterprise infrastructure company, as a premier server partner, at IBM`s `Power of Partnership` awards banquet. An award was made to Allan Timm, Faritec MD, for being the most successful partner in the Southern African region for the server range of products.
Timm says, "Faritec provides full infrastructure sourcing and support. We have focussed on providing best-of-breed servers with IBM`s RS/6000 UNIX servers and Netfinity. Our customers have a solid foundation for demanding scientific, technical, online transaction processing, knowledge mining and Web serving tasks with the RS/6000 and Netfinity, IBM`s powerful Intel processor-based servers are a reliable and scaleable foundation."
The award entitled Faritec to an all expenses paid trip to PartnerWorld. Timm says, "Qualification is stringent and done on quantifiable sales figures. This is the sort of performance we will be looking at sustaining (and even more) for the next year with the continued growth of our Intel customer base."
