It was another successful year for Faritec at the 2004 IBM South Africa Business Partner awards where it was awarded four of the top awards including:
Top South African Software Partner
Top growth in product support services
Top Storage Business Partner for outstanding revenue achievement
Top pSeries Business Partner for outstanding revenue achievement
The awards are presented to IBM partners who have made significant inroads into the delivery of new technologies by leveraging IBM`s products and services to penetrate new markets and create new business opportunities. Faritec`s achievements are a firm indication of its commitment to the growth of IBM SA`s business.
During the past year, Faritec maintained its position as one of IBM`s most dedicated channel partners. Revenue for Faritec`s infrastructure division increased by more than 50% over its 2003 figures and targets were exceeded by over 40%. The team also signed and concluded a number of significant deals with various strategic outsourcing partners throughout the year.
"Our commitment to technical excellence and customer satisfaction has been instrumental in ensuring that we consistently deliver world-class solutions and services for IBM," says Allan Timm, executive director of Faritec.
"These awards are the result of the hard work of Faritec`s highly skilled, competent and dedicated employees who deliver and manage IBM`s solutions and services on a daily basis."
Faritec supports the IBM pSeries Unix platform, xSeries, IBM storage and the WebSphere software suite. The company has a large certified skill base around the IBM solution set, currently employing 65 people, a significant increase since last year. The company is able to architect, configure, deploy and provide post-sales and service support around these products.
Johnny Gounden, IBM channel executive, explains: "The criteria set by IBM for this year`s awards included commitment to IBM`s business growth, strong business control and management, forecast management and contract compliance, overachieving quotas and year-on-year growth, and outstanding customer satisfaction. Faritec fulfilled these criteria and deserved each award."
