IBM International has named JSE-listed e-infrastructure company Faritec, as its top South African server Business Partner for 2000. The January award acknowledges Faritec`s role in the significant growth of IBM SA`s business through the partner channel program.
The recipients of the PartnerWorld awards are chosen after independent third party analysis of commitment, revenue contribution, and skills certification. Judging also takes into account regional market differences, ensuring that business partners in all the provinces stand an equal chance of winning an award.
Faritec won IBM`s PartnerWorld award for best server business partner, entitling company representatives to attend the world IBM conference in Atlanta in February.
"The IBM awards are in recognition of Faritec`s outstanding sales record despite difficult local circumstances," says Allan Timm, managing director of Faritec. "While I am happy to accept this prestigious award on behalf of the company, it is merely a reflection of the hard work which all employees have put in to ensure that Faritec retains its position as a Premier IBM business partner - an official title - in South Africa."
