FatPipe secures seventh patent

FatPipe Networks, the inventor and multiple patents holder of WAN optimisation, redundancy and products, has its seventh patent, reports Market Watch.

The patent protects the methods, devices and systems for efficient secure parallel transmission divided over hybrid WANs, with the ability to segment portions between encrypted traffic sent over a public network and unencrypted traffic sent over a private network.

The technology is significant as it helps companies securely divide data between disparate networks.

BT looks to Texert

Telecoms provider BT has selected Texert, a provider of enterprise risk management solutions, to provide its customers with a key component for its risk management consultancy offering, Market Watch states.

As part of the contract, BT has chosen Texert's J-Port product, which provides a governance, risk, and compliance solution.

This allows BT to offer a sophisticated approach to aggregated operational risk through its integrated structure, enabling the capture, assessment and reporting of risk and compliance data.

CVB selects IT-Lifeline

IT-Lifeline (ITL) will back-up Cashmere Valley Bank's (CVB's) critical data and applications offsite at a recovery centre located in Liberty Lake, Washington, according to CBR Storage.

ITL is also expected to provide a logical partition on an iSeries server for host recovery and provision a workplace recovery suite.

Sue Ozburn, CIO of CVB, said: "Being able to work with a single provider whose core competency is disaster recovery and business continuity allows us to focus on our core competency of being a bank.”
