The latest Oc'e VarioPrint 6250 to be installed in the field was used to print the voters' roll for South Africa's latest general elections.
The printing was carried out on two VarioPrint 6250 cutsheet digital printing systems, one located in Oc'e's showroom and the other newly installed at the client's premises. Between them, the two machines produced four million A4 images, printing 24-hours-a-day over a two-week period.
One of the fastest cutsheet black-and-white duplex printers on earth, the VarioPrint 6250 prints an unprecedented 250 A4 images per minute. With near 100% registration front and back, four hours of uninterrupted printing and a massive eight million prints per month, the VP6250 is designed to guarantee trouble-free printing at record-breaking speed.
Oc'e South Africa's Anthony Jones comments: “Not only did the machines offer jam-free printing for the duration of the print run, the resulting images were crisp and clear throughout.”
