In an exclusive distribution agreement with its principal, Castell, Duxbury Networking is to distribute the FaxPress 5000 fax server.
Available for Ethernet networks, it can support up to 8 separate fax lines per unit. Said to offer a fast and convenient way to integrate fax into the corporate computing environment, the FaxPress 5000 is designed to seamlessly integrate into Microsoft NT and NovellNetware networks.
The hardware is fully SNMP capable, allowing administrators to manage remote sites. A new 10/100 Base-T network interface is designed for high speed networks and will automatically detect network speed and configure itself.
It is targeted at high fax traffic environments of about 5000 pages per day. In broadcast applications, 8 to 10 single page faxes can be transmitted in under one minute.
