Fibreplus, a supplier of fibre optic cables and accessories, has announced the release of R&M`s new 19`` 3U global patch panel.
R&M (Reichle & De-Massari AG) based in Zurich-Wetzikon, Switzerland, is an international telecommunications company producing market connecting hardware and complementary accessories for WAN and LAN environments.
"With the global patch panel R&M use have a strong platform for tertiary cabling systems," says Led Ray, technical director at Fibreplus. "A clear modular range, ultra-simple use and multifunctional design are the features of this new patch panel generation. All the existing swivel elements and the high density lines can be implemented in the new patch panel."
Ray says the new patch panel serves as common platform on a 3U basis for copper as well as fibre optic components. The assortment is neatly structured and convincing with its modular design.
"The full backwards compatibility with the existing swivel element components is guaranteed. The platform is constructed in such a way to accommodate even future developments. The investment protection of `R&M freenet` users is thus ensured too," Ray says.
The 19`-inch 3U Global patch panel is available in shielded and unshielded versions. The cable tie shelf for tension relief of the installation cable is already integrated into each version.
