FinSolutions, a specialist provider of enterprise solutions in the financial services industry, has joined the Sonic Software Synergy Business Partner programme. This programme, launched in March by Progress Software South Africa, the local distributor for Sonic Software, is in line with Progress corporate`s partner strategy.
SonicMQ is used by FinSource as the guaranteed messaging layer in its workflow management platform, FinTrac.
Serle Shuman, MD of FinSolutions, says: "FinTrac provides a robust technical platform for FinSolutions to deliver robust business solutions, which span both internal business processes and business processes which cross company boundaries."
"FinTrac enables FinSource, a back-office administration provider to the fund management industry, to manage all inbound work requests, distribute those requests to the correct teams, load-balance the work requests between team members and notify managers and clients as work requests approach key service level limits," says Shuman.
FinSource is the largest independent South African specialist provider of a comprehensive range of administration solutions to the fund management sector, either on a fully or partially outsourced basis. It administers assets with a value of R120 billion.
"FinSolutions offers a solution delivery model which covers the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptual design to customised ongoing application management with specialist skills in investment process and risk management. It has developed numerous mission-critical solutions in the financial services sector for large institutions and smaller start-ups," says Shuman.
The SonicSynergy Business Partner programme is aimed at providing system integrators, developers and key architects with the technical support, education and certification required to accelerate deployment using Sonic`s products. It enables developers to work with Sonic`s flexible, cost-effective integration and enterprise messaging projects, including the SonicXQ enterprise service bus (ESB) and SonicMQ message server.
Rick Parry, MD of Progress Software SA, says: "The programme ensures that partners and customers are fully skilled to take on integration projects using the technology.
"The main objectives are to make available certified resources to the market, to deliver value-added solutions, to extend support capability throughout southern Africa, and to enhance and capitalise on the benefits of Sonic in the local market and ensure that Sonic maintains its leadership in the field."
The SonicSynergy business partner programme is designed to empower an elite group of technology and services companies with the tools and training needed to deliver advanced standards-based integration and enterprise messaging solutions to their customers.
