Firefox 10 comes to desktops, tablets
ZDNet reports.
Firefox 10 brings with it some slight user interface changes, such as the hiding of the 'forward' button until the user navigates back. Most add-ons for the browser should also, from now on, be compatible with new versions of Firefox by default.
According to PC Mag, one of Firefox's hallmarks has long been its rich extension support and many of the browser's users list that as the primary reason for choosing Firefox.
Version 10 will make the browser and extension upgrades smoother, less interruptive processes for end-users. Now, instead of requiring an extension to explicitly be marked by its coder as Firefox 10-compatible, the browser will assume that the extension is compatible if it was programmed for any Firefox version back to version 4.
“Firefox now supports Anti-Aliasing for WebGL, allowing developers to create objects that blend together and move smoothly,” GMA News quotes Mozilla as saying.
“Firefox also supports CSS 3D Transforms, which lets developers animate and transform two dimensional elements into 3D using HTML5 without the need for third-party plug-ins.”
