First AIIM-endorsed enterprise content management conference for South Africa

Johannesburg, 28 Mar 2008

Kofax, a global leader of intelligent capture and exchange, and its partner NokusaEI, a leading South African ECM consultancy, today announced a one-day event supported by AIIM (www.aiim.org), the international authority on enterprise content management (ECM).

The event format, which has had tremendous success in the UK, will be hosted in South Africa for the first time this year.

AIIM is the international association for enterprise content management and supports users and suppliers of the technologies and solutions used to capture, manage, store, preserve and deliver unstructured information.

Aimed at end-users and independent ECM consultants seeking a grounding for ECM project planning, as well as experienced users wanting to update themselves with the latest technology, the Kofax-NokusaEI event will demonstrate the 'how?' as well as the 'why?' of ECM.

Billed as the 'AIIM ECM Champions Workshop' it will combine independent educational material from the AIIM Certificate Programme with short demonstrations of industry leading products.

This format has proven most beneficial overseas for business professionals responsible for tackling document and records management issues within their organisations, and those becoming the champion for investment in ECM.

Launched two years ago in South Africa, the AIIM Certificate education programme is a combination of online and classroom courses in ECM and electronic records management (ERM). The programme has already attracted thousands of participants worldwide.

The AIIM ECM Champions Workshop takes place on Wednesday, 20 May 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg. The event already has the support of several major ECM industry vendors.
