Independent maintenance and support company, Integral Support Services (ISS) has announced the establishment of an independent parts distribution company, believed to be a first for the South African IT industry.
Established as a division of ISS, PartServe is in position to supply spare parts to the maintenance organisations as well as to the dealer channel.
Managing Director, Steve Macintosh says, "We have already negotiated distribution agreements with most of the major printer vendors and will distribute spares for Epson, Fujitsu, Seikosha, Kyocera, Printronix, Citizen, and AMT. In addition, PartServe imports and distributes the full range of HP printer parts. "
Macintosh says PartServe, based in Strijdom Park, Randburg, is the first focused IT parts distribution company and is the first to hold such a comprehensive range of inventory under one roof. The company will ship parts to the entire country and the neighbouring states from this central depot.
PartServe is headed up by National Sales Manager, Duco Kerssen, who says that he believes this to be first one-stop solution for spare parts in the country. With a stock holding worth over R3 million, Kerssen says PartServe is expected to turn their stock around at an average of around 60 days.
The division is confidently projecting profitability within the first few months of operation with turnover quickly rising to R1 million in the first year.
Other distributorships are currently under negotiation and will be announced from time to time. "We believe that with the establishment of PartServe, we will be able to supply stock to the service industry more effectively and efficiently than ever before," says Macintosh.
