First National Bank Card (FNB Card), together with Staffware, a global leader in business process management (BPM) software, were announced as the Gold Award winners for the Middle East and Africa region of the prestigious 2004 Global Excellence in Workflow Awards for innovation and excellence in workflow implementations.
The award is based on "recognising organisations that have excelled in implementing innovative workflow solutions ultimately meeting their strategic business objectives".
The awards are co-sponsored by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and the Workflow and Re-engineering International Association (WARIA), and were presented at a ceremony at the Association for Information and Image Management International (AIIM) conference and expo in New York on 9 March.
Says Mark Ehmke, Managing Director of Staffware SA: "It is a great achievement for FNB to be selected ahead of some pretty tough competition."
"The implementation of the Staffware Process Suite has changed the way that the FNB Credit Card Fraud unit operates. Through this solution, it is now possible to monitor the quality and quantity of the investigators` daily activities; and therefore also accurately determine their overall productivity," says Jan Kleynhans, CEO of FNB Card.
Staffware Process Suite is fully integrated with FNB`s innovative inContact e-mail and SMS service, allowing potentially fraudulent transactions to be picked up by the bank and instantly communicated to the customer in real-time via e-mail and/or SMS.
