First Technology joins Citrix elite partner programme

In a move set to grow its public and private sector market share, First Technology, an independent IT hardware and software solutions company, has achieved gold partner status with Citrix Systems.

The Citrix gold partner status is based on a combination of upgrading internal sales and technical certifications, plus a close working relationship with Citrix Systems to deliver specialist application delivery expertise to customers.

"Our mission is to ensure the risks associated with the implementation of new technologies are reduced, while simultaneously providing a compelling return on investment for our customers," says Grant Beattie, product manager of First Technology. "If we are to grow our application delivery market share in the private and public sector, Citrix gold partner accreditation is the best way to achieve this goal."

One of the most important requirements in reaching gold partner status with Citrix is an internal skills upgrade for sales, technical and product support managers. First Technology has actively engaged in a skills enhancement programme over the past year, with further plans to expand its Citrix accredited skills base to Cape Town and Durban.
