National IT solutions provider, First Technology, has been awarded Gold Status as a 3Com business partner.
The accreditation follows First Technology`s repositioning as a value-added solutions company with a particular focus on local and wide area networks, as well as storage and printer solutions.
According to 3Com`s SA Country Manager, Chris van Niekerk, there are only three 3Com Gold Partners in SA, with First Technology having strong regional relationships with 3Com in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Hilton Cock, First Technology`s National Sales and Marketing director, says First Technology and 3Com have had a close association for several years. Indeed, First Technology was one of only a handful of network solutions providers in the country achieving 3Com Silver Partner status.
"Our strengthened relationship with 3Com, and our enhanced status, is both a reward and a challenge for us to continue as a leader in the supply and integration of 3Com products nationally," he says.
