Although mergers between IT groups are the norm these days, the electronic business arm of the Brainware group, Brainware e-Commerce, has for strategic reasons decided to split from the parent company. A management buyout led to the setting up of a new Internet service company, Lungile Web Solutions, focusing on all Internet-related products and services.
"We wanted to establish a fitter and more manoeuvrable service company, with a holistic approach to the entire spectrum of business opportunities the Internet holds for our clients," said George Holtzhausen, managing director of Lungile. "It is vitally important to us to move closer to our clients, so that we can give individual attention to their specific needs.
We want to make the Internet accessible to more people and at the same time make our clients aware of the increasing advantages of electronic business."
Lungile`s target markets are the corporate business market, government institutions, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. "We want to do more than just provide a service," said Holtzhausen. "We see ourselves as a business partner, which means that we share the client`s vision and that we are prepared to accompany him on the road to making that vision a reality. Our own goal is ultimately to make a difference for the client by cutting costs and improving profit margins."
According to Holtzhausen, Lungile`s pool of expertise includes strategic consultation, project management, research, architectonic design, software development, system integration and e-business marketing. It also offers a comprehensive range of products relating to the Internet environment and electronic business.
"The biggest difference between us and other companies in this sector, lies in our approach. We are the partner in the client`s business looking after its Internet environment. It is an exciting new world and our job is to offer solutions which enable our clients to reap the full benefits."
