The GijimaAst and arivia.kom Consortium, one of two successful vendors, has been awarded the managed services branch IT contract for First National Bank, a division of FirstRand Bank Limited.
GijimaAst and arivia.kom, as partners in the consortium, will provide the required services to FNB under a single umbrella with a single point of contact to the bank. The combined resources and experience of this consortium position it to address FNB`s requirements in totality.
The contract involves the consortium providing IT support across the country to approximately 50% of FNB branches and its equipment. GijimaAst and arivia.kom will improve on cost-effectiveness and efficiency for FNB. This has already been evident in the successful transition of over 20 000 devices within six weeks.
"Our track record in providing IT support for other key clients in South Africa, while maintaining 97% on service level agreements, positions us as an ideal partner for FNB," explains Brian Sell, Strategic Account Manager at GijimaAst. "This support is made possible through our extended footprint within southern Africa."
