Technology and market research firm Forrester Research has appointed the Zion Group as its official independent sales representation in SA.
In a statement issued today, Forrester said the move reflects a continued investment in supporting companies across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
"With local representation, we are better positioned to provide value and expertise to national, international and global companies based in SA," says Robert Davidson, president of Forrester Research EMEA.
"Forrester clients in SA are now able to benefit from global knowledge and market expertise, with all the advantages of a local channel and delivery model," comments Simon MacDonald, CEO and founder of Zion Group.
Zion is a new concern based in Northcliff, Johannesburg. MacDonald says he is in the process of launching three initiatives within the business - trading locally as Forrester SA, launching Balela Consulting offering local consulting aligned to Forrester International Research perspectives, and another initiative which will be announced soon "to address a local research shortage in SA."
MacDonald, who spent the past four years as a Meta Group South Africa business development manager, has an IT and business background, and has been extensively involved in developing markets and analysing customer needs.
