Fort Lauderdale implements Vertabase

The City of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, US, has successfully implemented Vertabase software in its IT department, according to PR Newswire.

This implementation represents a major step in establishing clear ownership and responsibility for projects managed by Fort Lauderdale's City Hall. The results are greater transparency and efficiency.

With Vertabase, officials at City Hall may now evaluate the status and success of numerous projects at a glance. Based on the success with its IT department, the City of Fort Lauderdale intends to further roll-out Vertabase in other departments at City Hall.

DoST releases huge database project

Philippines' Department of Science and Technology (DoST) will launch a P20 million database project this year, says Manila Bulletin.

It aims to make its technologies more available to small and medium-scale enterprises that need to improve their business and generate more jobs.

II Rafael Olivar, science research specialist of the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development, said DoST will release the One Stop Information Shop for Ready to Transfer Technologies (OSIST) in the Philippines within the year to make local technologies more accessible to the people.
