On Thursday, the country's first free cloud-based online management software system for the recruitment industry, recruiter+, was introduced to the market.
Recruiter Plus says its software provides a turnkey functional solution encompassing marketing, sales, finance and administration.
Addressing a media briefing in Johannesburg yesterday, Riaan Venter, MD of Recruiter Plus, said recruiter+, developed by Nirph Online, eliminates the need for independent service providers such as Web developers, advertisers and administrative support personnel. "Recruiters will now be free to focus their energy on the fundamental objective of acquiring, nurturing and placing talent with suitably matched companies."
Venter says a key benefit of the system is the integration of marketing communications from one platform that enables users to create customised Web sites. Vacancies can be advertised directly online, and newsletters and text messages can be created and distributed directly from the system.
Recruiter+ can be accessed from any Internet-connected device, enabling recruitment agencies to conduct business anywhere, anytime.
"With a widely accepted national skills shortage, finding the right candidates is paramount. This is where recruiter+ excels. Alleviating the highly subjective element of human opinion, candidates' skills, dispositions and individual circumstances are matched precisely to suitable positions," says Venter.
"Furthermore, the talent pool is exponentially enlarged. With the automatic integration of social platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, recruiter+ leverages the vast and ubiquitous power of the crowd."
Venter highlights the software's search functionality, which he says replaces archaic and cumbersome filing and archiving systems. "It provides for customised resume databases, the ability to schedule online interviews, send automatic notifications and capture feedback."
The system can also integrate with Google e-mail and calendars and upload Career Junction format CVs directly into the database, says Venter.
He adds that recruiter+ has a number of controls in place to ensure it is protected and only accessed by predefined users. Activity is tracked and available through comprehensive reporting.
Yesterday marked the release of the beta version of the recruiter+ software. As an evolving system, new functions and features will continuously be added, and users are encouraged to submit feedback, says Venter.
