FrontRange beefs up GoldMine admin functions

FrontRange Solutions has announced GoldMine Everywhere 1.2, an update to its suite of wireless and Web-enabled eCRM (customer relationship management) products designed to support GoldMine FrontOffice 2000.

"Since its introduction last year, GoldMine Everywhere has extended the GoldMine user interface out to where the users really are, which is everywhere," says Stuart Russell, MD, FrontRange Solutions. "This solution opens any-time access from any platform, anywhere in the world, from a Windows environment or the Web."

GoldMine Everywhere includes GoldMine Everywhere Web and GoldMine Everywhere Thin Client. A key feature of this update is the new Administrator Centre for GoldMine Everywhere Web. The GoldMine Everywhere Web Administrator Centre provides the ability to create custom toolbars and menu options that in turn support improved workflow and navigation for GoldMine Everywhere Web end-users.

While GoldMine Everywhere Web combines the basic functionality of GoldMine Sales and Marketing with the simplicity of a Web browser, the new Administrator Centre offers administrators the tools to map the software to fit their business processes. For example, shortcuts can be added to the toolbar, or two or more GoldMine Everywhere Web functions can be combined into one Web page for simplification and task management.

In addition, more advanced applications can be developed by FrontRange Solutions Partners through custom Active Server Pages (ASPs), further extending the capabilities supported for users. A special Everywhere Web API will enable such additionally developed ASPs to be linked directly to the GoldMine database, applying all the necessary business rules automatically.

"The Administration Centre was added in response to requests from GoldMine Everywhere Web customers to round out already substantial capabilities," continues Russell. "With the Administrator Centre, they can customise the solution to meet their individual needs."

GoldMine Everywhere Thin Client offers all the functionality of GoldMine Sales and Marketing for remote users with the added security of a completely centralised database. GoldMine Everywhere Thin Client offers small to medium-sized businesses a low-cost and maintenance-free solution for hosting CRM through an application server.
