By Faculty Training Institute
Cape Town, 11 Nov 2014

On 27 November, Carol Mould, Project Management Portfolio Manager of Faculty Training Institute (FTI) will be the guest speaker at Project Management South Africa's (PMSA) seminar series. Her talk is called Project Management Careers in the Changing World of Work. Project managers at all levels, and their managers, will leave the seminar with a good understanding of how to manage their own careers and support their staffs' careers. Mould explores different career stages and career patterns enabling participants to gain insight into their past and potential future career patterns.

"The world of work is changing and the role of project managers is evolving within organisations. Project management is an advanced discipline that requires leadership in addition to management skills. In today's complex knowledge-based economy; characterised by rapid change and uncertainty, project management professionals can expect to experience significant changes in the world of work and they need to understand how to prepare for them," says Mould.

Mould, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and experienced facilitator, trainer, consultant and coach, will share insights into career management and support strategies which include training, mentoring and coaching.

The evening seminar will take place at the Durban Country Club on 27 November at 5:30pm. To book, visit PMSA's Web site: http://www.projectmanagement.org.za/events

In April 2015, FTI will debut its five-month Certificate Programme in Project Management Practice (NQF level 5) in KZN. The course encompasses the modern developments in the field of project management through which the major value contribution from project management professionals, above meeting cost and time frames on projects, will be their ability to think out-of-the box, and to demonstrate agility and project leadership.
