Fujitsu intros RetailReady programme

Fujitsu America has announced its RetailReady programme for the retail industry, providing benefits for independent software vendors (ISVs) that validate their applications with retail hardware from Fujitsu, reports Earth Times.

After becoming Fujitsu RetailReady, ISVs can market their solutions as compatible with Fujitsu retail hardware, like the recently announced TeamPoS 3600 point-of-sale (POS) system.

The partnership also exposes the ISV's brand and solutions to potential Fujitsu clients, and offers unique, unparalleled access to Fujitsu product marketing and technical information through a secure Web portal.

IBM's Ilog unit unveiled a set of supply chain and business rules management software offerings in mid-June, but IBM managers seem just as excited about broader synergies with IBM's software group as they are about the specifics of the new applications, states Manufacturing Business Technology.

IBM completed its acquisition of Ilog in January of this year.

The updated offerings unveiled include Plant PowerOps 3.2, a plant scheduler aimed at batch and hybrid industries such as food, and LogicNet Plus XE 7.0, a supply chain network design solution.
