Fujitsu has launched its first annual SELECT Awards, designed to publicly recognise the successes of SELECT Partner Programme participants in South Africa.
Business-oriented awards celebrate hard financial performance in each of the three SELECT Partner certification levels [1], from which the Fujitsu Channel Team in South Africa will select a national Partner of the Year. A further six individual national awards will celebrate important 'softer' measures of success, such as solution innovation and ambassadorship on behalf of Fujitsu.
Honouring and sharing our partners' outstanding contributions to the channel business, the first SELECT Awards winners will be publicised by Fujitsu in April 2012, both via the media and the company's Web sites. National Partners of the Year across Europe, Middle East and Africa will then automatically compete to win the EMEA regional title, and will be invited to attend a high-profile Gala Awards Ceremony during the annual Fujitsu Forum event in Munich, in November 2012, where the ultimate winner will be announced.
The new Fujitsu SELECT Awards in South Africa comprise:
* Partner of the Year: for the partner that delivers the best revenue figures, the highest growth rates, and that demonstrates the greatest loyalty to Fujitsu. To be elected from among the other category winners by a European Management Jury, at the Fujitsu Forum 2012 Gala Awards Event.
* Growth Driver of the Year: awarded for extraordinary business growth with Fujitsu according to the three respective certification levels: Partner, SELECT Partner, SELECT Expert.
* Best Fujitsu Ambassador: for the partner with a high focus on Fujitsu products combined with strong loyalty, fairness, communication and teamwork.
* Best Solution Innovator: for an innovative application or one that has been positively portrayed in the media as developed by a Fujitsu partner (for example, green technologies, environmental protection, applications for disabilities, etc).
* Best New Customer Project of the Year: recognising a partner that has won a significant new project with a customer that had previously bought products from a Fujitsu competitor.
* Newcomer of the Year: selected for a combination of strong revenue, completed training, loyalty and commitment in the first year of the partnership.
* Best Team Achiever of the Year: for the best co-operation with Fujitsu where the partner has created new potential sales volumes through great team commitment.
* Certification Champion: for the most points in the certification system, either as a company in total or through the sum of the highest individual employee certifications.

The 12-month qualification period is now under way (1 April 2011 until 30 March 2012) and to participate in the SELECT Partner/SELECT Expert Award, partners must have a valid Fujitsu SELECT partner program certification. Entry to the business-oriented awards is automatic, and channel partners are invited to contact their local channel teams to enter the 'soft facts' awards.
