Fujitsu Siemens Computers appoints New Horizons as training partner

Johannesburg, 23 May 2006

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has concluded a training agreement which will see all future training programmes conducted by New Horizons, currently the world`s largest computer training provider.

New Horizons South Africa, an accredited training provider, and one of South Africa`s Top 300 Black Empowered Companies will provide and facilitate training in the following certifications:

* Fit for Primergy sales
* High-end sales
* Pre-sales
* High-end pre-sales
* Installation
* Server management

Additional training interventions will be hosted by highly qualified instructors.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers and New Horizons both boast international representation. "As an international training organisation, New Horizons will also conduct training for Fujitsu Siemens Computers in Europe, the Middle East and now Africa. This will be complemented by the value-adds that will be available to Fujitsu Siemens partners, namely: help-desk support, networked environments for client demonstrations and presentations," says Mark Contat, New Business Development Manager of New Horizons.

"Through this international agreement, we are able to ensure that training - and certification - standards are consistent in all theatres of operation. There will be no difference between a training course held in Germany to one held in South Africa or anywhere else, and this will bring consistency to qualifications and certification. This ensures and adds to the credibility of a Fujitsu Siemens Computers trained professional. Additionally, course fees are standardised across the various markets and will be charged in US dollars or the equivalent value in any other currency. This means that a course costing $150 in Germany will cost the equivalent in South African rand."

New Horizons will focus on delivering Fujitsu Siemens Computers accredited training programmes in South Africa, with the objective of extending this training to Fujitsu Siemens Computers` African business partners.

Mark Wilson, Managing Director of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, says: "Concluding this agreement with New Horizons ensures the credibility of trainees passing through our training courses. This enables course graduates to better serve customers and to ensure they apply the most current techniques and technology in developing solutions, which in turn will optimise the customer`s investment and technology experience and ultimately build a strong brand loyalty towards Fujitsu Siemens Computers."

New Horizons has already created a link to a course schedule and course outlines on offer and has listed these on its Web site at www.newhorizons.co.za.
